Marty has done 2 trips to Hinchinbrook in the last week , one in gale force winds and torrential rain the other in gal force wind we chat about the two different trips what worked what didnt . Latest show is up and running , With a great weather window last weekend Gaz heads out to his favorite Nannigai and red emperor spot to try his luck. Out fished again by his better half  Kayleen they return to the ramp with a lovely feed of red fish. Slow pitch jigging is all the rage at the moment so Gaz has ago on 30lb barra gear and the results didnt go to plan.
Alex Julius from the Northern Territory joins us on the phone to chat about the beginnings of NAFA magazine and its popularity with fisher folk all over the country, Alex is packing his boat for the Barra Classic so we chat about the classic and some of the legends of fishing that Alex calls friends, you can also read about them in the latest NAFA magazine Hall of Fame.
Robbie from Southern Queensland is on the phone to let us know about the awesome flathead he caught whilst boating around Noosa , Robbie has moved South from Darwin and talks about the change in fishing style from NT to Southern QLD and whats working for him.

Latest show is up and running , on this show Serge from Youtube channel Serge K Fishing joins us in the studio to chat all things fishing. Barramundi and Mangrove Jacks are his favorite target species and he fills us in of how he chases them from soft plastic to hard body lures so nothing is off topic. Skipping plastic soft frogs is all the rage at the moment, Serge gives us his favorite lure , technique and where to look when chasing these lovely chrome fish.
Marty fished Hinchinbrook during the week and lets us know how he went from catching barra to being high and dry on a sandbar it makes for a great listen and a laugh at his expense.
Darren from GBRMPA joins us on the phone to let us know about his latest job in the fishing industry a lot of people think Saudia Arabia is all sand and sand dunes but Darren is heading over to help the Saudia Goverment manage there reef and fisheries systems.
This weekend is Pirtek Fishing Challenge and with over 8000 entered it is one of the biggest comps in the world and with all the proceeds going to mens health is only natural the Fishing Show get on board and fish. Guesty and his team do a huge job putting this together so we have a quick chat with him on how its all going.

Just Jacking Around NQ Fishing Show

Latest show is up and running and in this episode we chat To Chris Carney from 4WD Central and Mike Carney Toyota . Pimping your cruiser or 4wd is a big thing at the moment so we chat about what accessories the boys have and can fit at 4WD Central , the good old Landcruiser is a regular on outback roads and Chris chats about his favorite old cruiser project builds.
Marty and Gaz have been out fishing in the last week and have found some decent fish from Marty nailing 50cm jacks from the roadside to Gaz getting his butt kicked by his missus on the barra we have a chat and a laugh about this , whilst on the water yesterday Gaz spoke to the Fisheries about the new Queensland Lifejacket Laws so we cover whats going on come 1st July.

Huge show today with Marty away and fishing Hinchinbrook, Jason Masters joins me in the co-pilots chair and he doesnt get away without having his brain picked to pieces on his Barramundi secrets from Cairns , Tinaroo and Hinchinbrook Channel. Cairns is a very good fishing location and Jase gives his secrets away on finding good Barra around the local estuaries, we then head up to the Tablelands and find out what to look for when fishing Lake Tinaroo , weed edges or Points or open water Jase gives us the low-down. Born and Bred in the Hinchinbrook region Jason has fished just about every inch of the channel so we really get down and dirty about drains and flats fishing from time and tide to wind and rain you will come away with different fishing thoughts.
Wayne (Coley) Cole from The Fishing Shed in Bathurst is on the phone from Karumba , Coley has organised a trip for 19 southerners to experience what the wild Gulf country has to offer from being boated in to their accommodation to catching their first Barra,s the crew are having a ball. The team from Kerry D charters have put them all onto fish and throw in some Heli Fishing and the team have had an experience they will never forget.

The monsoon season in the north is a wild time of year but when you are caught in a violent storm whilst out in your boat it gets you wondering what the hell am I doing out here, well that happened to Jim and he tells us how many prayers he said getting back to the ramp .Boating etiquette raises is head and Jim explains to does and dont,s of being polite on the water.
One of the best Barramundi fishery is ringht in the centre of Townsville with its many rockwalls Gaz picks Martys brain on how he fishes it and what he looks for. Plenty of big barra have been caught on the wall and Marty tells his best.

Pirtek Fishing Challenge is very close so we chat to Guesty how you can get involved .The challenge over 17 years has raised millions of dollars for prostrate research and is a great cause.
