Is there a lure , technique or is it just lockjaw, we discuss why this happens and what we can do when it happens. We also find out all the gossip and how and where the leading teams fished.
Pro crabber Cros joins us on the phone to chat about the terrible accident he had at the boat ramp lately , he had got  caught up in his winch rope ripping fingers off and they fell into the water. We found out what he did when it all happened and how easy it happened. Being on the water so much we chat about crocodiles and what he sees on the water , you will be surprised about the croc trying to grab him out the back of his boat and whet he does to prevent this at night now.
With the honeymoon period coming to an end in QLD in regards to the new lifejacket laws that came in late last year we chat about how to avoid getting fined from the 1st of July , if your boat is 4.8mtrs or under you best tune in.

We are back with another show on todays offering we chat all things tournament preparation or lack of it. Gaz is off to the Ingham Rod & Reel Barramundi Tournament next weekend so we chat about his preparation what tips and tricks he is going to use and where he is going to fish in the beautiful Hinchinbrook Channel. How many rods , whet lures and even a few mods on the landing net , thats if it gets used :).
Guesty joins us to wind up this years Pirtek Fishing Challenge and what a success with over 8,000 anglers taking part to raise funds and awareness on mens health and prostate cancer. It was a great 2 days fishing all over Australia with some great captures and fun had by all but like all competitions there is always cheating we chat about how one angler was caught out and now has a life ban from the comp.

The Reds Are Chewing NQ Fishing Show

Latest show is up and running , With a great weather window last weekend Gaz heads out to his favorite Nannigai and red emperor spot to try his luck. Out fished again by his better half  Kayleen they return to the ramp with a lovely feed of red fish. Slow pitch jigging is all the rage at the moment so Gaz has ago on 30lb barra gear and the results didnt go to plan.
Alex Julius from the Northern Territory joins us on the phone to chat about the beginnings of NAFA magazine and its popularity with fisher folk all over the country, Alex is packing his boat for the Barra Classic so we chat about the classic and some of the legends of fishing that Alex calls friends, you can also read about them in the latest NAFA magazine Hall of Fame.
Robbie from Southern Queensland is on the phone to let us know about the awesome flathead he caught whilst boating around Noosa , Robbie has moved South from Darwin and talks about the change in fishing style from NT to Southern QLD and whats working for him.

Barramundi and Mangrove Jacks are his favorite target species and he fills us in of how he chases them from soft plastic to hard body lures so nothing is off topic. Marty fished Hinchinbrook during the week and lets us know how he went from catching barra to being high and dry on a sandbar it makes for a great listen and a laugh at his expense.

Just Jacking Around NQ Fishing Show

Latest show is up and running and in this episode we chat To Chris Carney from 4WD Central and Mike Carney Toyota . Pimping your cruiser or 4wd is a big thing at the moment so we chat about what accessories the boys have and can fit at 4WD Central , the good old Landcruiser is a regular on outback roads and Chris chats about his favorite old cruiser project builds.
